Brush Clearing and Bush Hogging in Hot Springs, AR
Clear overgrown lots, underbrush, briars, and fence lines, and keep open fields cut back.
Brush Clearing
Briars, saplings, cedar, and thick undergrowth take over a lot fast. We clear brush with a forestry mulcher that grinds it in place, so there is no burn pile and no mountain of brush to haul. The mulch layer that stays behind helps hold the soil. See forestry mulching for more on how it works.
Bush Hogging
Open fields and pastures that just need tall grass and light brush cut back call for bush hogging, not a full clearing. It is faster, costs less, and keeps a field usable season to season.
Which One Do You Need?
If you can walk through it and the growth is mostly grass and light brush, bush hogging is usually enough. If saplings, cedar, and woody brush have moved in, the ground needs brush clearing. We will tell you which fits after we see the property or your photos.
Underbrush and Fence Lines
We clear underbrush out of wooded lots and leave the trees you want, so you can see through the woods and walk them again. Fence lines, trails, and field edges can be opened without clearing the whole property.
When Brush Clearing Is Not Enough
Brush clearing leaves the roots in the ground. If the next step is a house, driveway, or pasture that needs a smooth grade, the job may also need stump removal or full land clearing. We separate those steps in the estimate.
What Changes the Price
Acreage, how thick the growth is, the size of the woody material, slope, rock, access, and which trees stay all change the price.
