French Drain Installation and Drainage in Hot Springs, AR
Standing water, a wet yard, or water against the foundation? We find where it comes from and give it a way out.
What a French Drain Is
A French drain is a trench with perforated pipe and clean rock, usually wrapped in filter fabric. Water in the soil and on the surface soaks into the rock, enters the pipe, and flows to a safe outlet.
When a French Drain Is the Right Fix
A French drain fits when water sits in the soil: a yard that stays soggy, water that collects against a foundation or behind a retaining wall, or a hillside that seeps. When the problem is surface runoff, regrading or a swale may do the job for less. We tell you which one the site needs.
How We Build It
First we find where the water comes from and where it can leave. The outlet decides the job: the pipe has to fall all the way to a spot where water can daylight or discharge safely. Then we dig the trench, line it with fabric, set rock and perforated pipe at the right grade, and cover it back.
Foundations, Yards, and Driveways
French drains can help move water away from foundations and crawl spaces, drain soggy yards, relieve water behind walls, and keep water from soaking under a gravel driveway.
Rocky Ground Around Hot Springs
Much of the ground around Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village is rocky. Rock slows trenching and can change the route. We look at the ground before we price the job.
What Changes the Price
Trench length and depth, rock, the distance to a good outlet, access for equipment, and what has to be restored afterward (lawn, landscaping, or gravel) all change the price.

French Drains & Drainage FAQ
If water runs across the surface, grading or a swale often fixes it. If water sits in the soil or seeps against a foundation or wall, a French drain is usually the answer.
To an outlet where it can daylight or discharge safely, such as a ditch, a lower part of the property, or an approved drainage point. No outlet, no drain.
It depends on the problem. Yard drains are often shallow. Drains that protect a foundation or wall go deeper. We set the depth and fall on site.
Filter fabric and clean rock keep most soil out. Keep the outlet clear and keep downspout debris out of the system.
It depends on length, depth, rock, the distance to an outlet, and restoration. Send photos of the wet area for a free estimate.
